PT Inovasi Telematika Nusantara was established in 2014 and is engaged in IT system integration. Over time and technological developments, in 2019, we developed an innovative product, namely IOT (internet of things) smart farming, to facilitate the agricultural process and increase crop yields. In 2020, the first IOT smart farming product was launched, namely the IOT panel that checks pH, Humidity, and Temperature (soil and Air) and is able to water and provide nutrients/fertilizers. This IOT is connected to the IOT cloud application (via the internet) which can display soil conditions and water via smartphone. The first customer was the West Java Potato Seed Center, located in Pangalengan. Until now, this IOT is still functioning and has undergone a number of specification and function developments.
Next, in 2022, we developed an IOT product that can detect macronutrients NPK. With this IOT, farmers can analyze macronutrients (NPK) in the soil, so that it becomes the basis for effective and efficient fertilizer administration, in the vegetative and generative phases. There are a number of farmers from 10 districts/cities in West Java who use this IOT NPK and get benefits in the form of fertilizer cost efficiency and increased harvest yields (testimony from millennial farmers about IOT).
In 2023, we will develop a new product, namely portable IOT smart control farming. Smart control farming means a smart farming system that can control the agricultural process, especially fertilization. With portable IOT, farmers can check land fertility (NPK, pH) and get targeted fertilizer recommendations (inorganic and organic), according to the type of plant and soil fertility conditions. Currently, our cloud IOT application (iot.virtualmonitoring.id) can analyze soil fertility and recommend fertilizers for 120 types of plants. A number of agencies, both government and corporate, have used portable IOT to check soil quality, such as the Kutai Kartanegara, Bulungan (Kaltara), Luwu, Sleman, West Bandung, East Kalimantan Province, West Java Province, Ministry of Agriculture, Bank Indonesia, Petrokimia Gresik, etc.
In 2024, the IOT features will be upgraded, namely the GPS and Pest and Disease Analysis features. With GPS, farmers can get the coordinates and height of the location, calculate the area of land, and map the location on Google Maps. With the Pest and Disease Analysis feature, farmers can get data on potential pest and disease disturbances in the vegetative/generative phase, and get recommendations for the pesticides needed (complete with dosage).
In addition, as part of business development, PT Inovasi Telematika Nusantara also launched a new brand, namely Doktertaniku. Through Doktertaniku, we provide end-to-end agricultural services, in the form of soil quality checks (and fertilizer/pesticide recommendations), smart farming education (a combination of basic and digital farming), and contract farming (absorption of harvest results using IOT). Through IOT (Sensortani services), Education (edutani), and Contract farming (Tanikita), Doktertaniku helps farmers to increase production and the level of welfare of farmers.
With the increasing quality of life and welfare of farmers, it is hoped that the younger generation will also be interested in pursuing agricultural businesses (millennial farmers), and we can build a healthy and advanced agricultural ecosystem, in an effort to strengthen national food independence and security.
